Harold Helm Fly, 80, of Coffeeville, passed away Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017 at Grenada Living Center. He was born September 13, 1936 in Coffeeville to Bilbo and Earlene Helm Fly. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Coffeeville and had retired from the Mississippi State Forestry Commission after having worked there for over 32 years. He also faithfully served our country in the U.S. Army.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Coffeeville with Rev. Craig Baker and Rev. Billy Hill officiating. Interment will follow in the Coffeeville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at McKibben and Guinn and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Pearl Fly; daughter, Barbara (Dale) Manley, Meridian; son, Louis Fly, Olympia, WA; sister, Eleanor Ann Boyle, Coffeeville; brothers, John L. Fly, Holcomb, and Lynn Allen Fly, Horn Lake; grandchildren, Blair, Mallory, Colby, Shania, Stephen, Selena, and great-grandchildren, Emily, Jenna, Wyatt and Chloe. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lisa Marie Roach, and brothers, Gerald, Jimmy and Bob Fly.
Pallbearers will be Donny Armstrong, Randy Armstrong, Charlie Hill, David Hill and Kenny Myers.
