Mary Mildred Broughman, 82, of Calhoun City, passed this life at Eupora after an extended illness. She was born February 9, 1936 in Derma to Matthew “Mack” and Lila Mae Johnson Rimmer. She was a homemaker and assistant with farming operations. She loved her family dearly and always enjoyed time with family and friends. She was a Church of Christ follower in Jesus Christ.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James William “Buddy” Broughman; sisters, Margaret Rae, Burt Goodwin; brothers, Tommy Rimmer, Billy Rimmer, Curtis Rimmer, Charles Rimmer, John Rimmer, and a great grandson, Michael Ray Browning.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Darline (Junior) Jaco, Springhill, TN; Lorri (Ricky) Browning, Slate Springs; Penny (Elvis) Dunn, Bruce; Kathylene (Jackie) Broughman, Tuscon, AZ; sons, James (Teresa) Broughman), Coffeeville; Curtis (Belinda) Broughman, Cherokee, AL; Roy Broughman, Bruce; sisters, Doris Weeks, Calhoun City; Francis James, Calhoun City; 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral service is Monday at 3 p.m. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Billy Hill officiating. Visitation will be from noon until service time. Burial will be in Crossroads Cemetery.
