Earline (Lynn) Short Rumage of Germantown, Tn. passed away July 24, 2018. She was born in Bruce to Mr. and Mrs. Earl Short.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Floyd R. Rumage; daughters, Cheryl Rumage (Jack, Jr.) Estes and Pamela R. Rumage; grandsons, Jack (Whitney) Estes III, Andrew H. Estes, and her sister, Pauline Short (James) Simpson.
She moved to Memphis in 1955 and met her husband. They were married August 19, 1956 and have been active members of Germantown Baptist Church for over 53 years. She was in banking for over 30 years with Union Planters Bank, and later Regions Bank, as a teller, loan officer, and assistant manager. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Memphis Garden Club, Four Seasons, and Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary. She was active in the Shelby County Republican Women’s Club and Tennessee Federation of Republican Women, serving as an officer in both.
Visitation will be Saturday at 11:30 am, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The funeral, also at Memorial Park Funeral Home, will be at 1. Memorials may be made to Germantown Baptist Church for the fund benefitting theological students.
