Martha Sue Kimbrell, 79, entered into her Heavenly home from Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford Friday, Aug. 31, 2018. Born August 27, 1939, she was the daughter of W.O. and Kathrine Parker Whitworth. She graduated from Calhoun City High School in 1957, and was a member of Vardaman First Baptist Church. On October 2, 1959, she married Wade Kimbrell, and they have spent 58 wonderful years together. In her free time, she loved to be fishing, cooking, or playing family games, and she cherished reading her Bible and studying God’s word. Her faith, family, and friends meant the most to her. She loved having tea parties with her great-grandkids and had a lot of cousins she loved to hang out with. She was a very strong willed but gentle soul who loved her family deeply. She could make anyone laugh, and was never afraid to speak her mind. She will be missed deeply by her family and friends, but they find comfort knowing she is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
A funeral service celebrating her life was Monday at Pryor Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Douglas will be officiating and Bro. Jim Vance delivering the eulogy. Interment was at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Big Creek.
Serving as pallbearers were Michael Kimbrell, Jeffery Kimbrell, Terry Kimbrell, Heath Denley, Gilbert Denley, Michael Denley, Kevin Doler, and Kevin Stone.
She leaves behind her husband of 58 years, Wade Kimbrell; son, Ronald Kimbrell and fiancé Kim, Calhoun City; grandchildren, Rhonda Kimbrell Burke, Michael Kimbrell, and Jeffery Kimbrell and fiancé Laci Meadows, all of Calhoun City.
