Billy Lee

Billy Laderal Lee, 72, passed away at his home December 18, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 4, 1946 in the Rocky Mount Community to Elton and Myrtle Logan Lee. He served his country in the Mississippi National guard for over six years. He was a devoted member of Westside Baptist Church.

He was the owner of Billy’s Place Recreation Room, where he enjoyed the fellowship of his friends, playing pool, cards and conversation about the latest sports interest. 

He was a devoted softball, baseball and little league coach. He invested in the youth and wanted to make sure his teammates played to the best of their ability. With his interest in ball and sports, he devoted his interest and time in the Bruce Park.  He was an avid N.Y. Yankee sports fan for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jimmie Nell McCormick and Frances Jo McCormick, and a brother, Elton Leon Lee.

Survived by his wife Becky Carr Lee,  Bruce; sons, Billy Chad (Traci) Lee, Bruce; Jeffery Brent Lee, Bruce and Bucky Dent (Presley) Lee, Bruce; sisters, Barbara Turner, Bruce, and Ann (Hiram) McKibben, Bruce; grandchildren, Joseph Braiden Lee, Aubrey Ellen Lee, and Codi Elizabeth Lee.

Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 20,  from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service honoring his life will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Darrell Logan officiating and Bro. Bobby Cobb, assisting. Brad Logan will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Barry Lee, Lance Lee, Landon Lee, Tim McCormick, Tony McCormick, Chris Smith, Craig Smith, and Tracy Turner.

Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Blackwelder, Jerry Inmon, Robert Edward Oakley, Dr. Willie Wells, Andy Fortner, Corey Fortner, Brad Hensley, Colton Lee,  Silas Lee, Jason McCormick, Brandon McKibben, Chipper Nix, Dustin Swords (Dut), and Matt Swords.
