Merle Marie Anderson Williams, 72, of Coffeeville, passed away Friday, June 14, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – North MS in Oxford. She was born April 5, 1947 in Calhoun City to Neal and Johnnie Lollar Anderson. She was a retired inspector at Borg-Warner in Water Valley and a member of First Baptist Church in Coffeeville.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 18 at 4 p.m. at McKibben and Guinn with Rev. Truman Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Nebo Cemetery at Big Creek. The family will receive friends Monday from 5-7 p.m. Monday evening and one hour prior to the service Tuesday.
Survivors include her son, Allen Howard “Howie” (Wendy) Williams, Jr., Coffeeville; sisters, Shirley Nelson and Doddie Ross, Big Creek; grandchildren, Jamie (Shelia) Coleman, T.K. and Neal McCammon, Charlee and Jessie Williams; great-grandchild, Gracie Little; special nieces, Tammy (John) Beshears and Amber (Chuck) Harris; special nephews, Bubba (Velvet) Nelson and Doug (Susan) Crutchfield, and step-son, John Lawson Bower, Grenada.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allen “Hoss” Williams; sister, Teresa “Sissie” Dugan; brother, Tom Anderson and grandchild, Andrew McCammon.
