Bobra Ann Gentry, 74, entered into her Heavenly home from Greenwood Leflore Hospital June 17, 2019. Born January 14, 1945, in Charleston, she was the daughter of Levi Gentry and Thelma King Nelms. She was very strong willed and also very opinionated. You never had to wonder where you stood with her. She loved keeping her yard neat, carefully tending to her flowers and working in her garden. She also loved animals, especially her Yorkie, Little Bit. Above all, she loved her family and spending time with her grands and great-grands. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends, but she leaves behind wonderful memories for them to treasure.
A funeral service celebrating her life was June 20 at Pryor Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Vance officiating and Bro. Mark Longino delivering the eulogy. Interment was at Spring Valley Cemetery in Mathiston.
Pallbearers were Earl Flemons, Jamison Forrest, Billy Mann, Jr., James C. Mann, A.J. Mann and Bubba Butler.
She leaves her special friend and companion of over 40 years, Billy McMahan; sons, Billy (Shirley) Mann, Pontotoc, and Arvin Rochell, Ruleville; daughter, Teresa (James) Broughman, Coffeeville; brothers, Bo Gentry, Calhoun City; Johnny Gentry, Brandon, Hamp (Gail) Gentry, Ozark; Levi (Sheryl) Gentr, Ozark; sisters, Beverly Bullard, Carrolton; Debbie Irby, Pineville, LA; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sons, William and James Mann; sister, Louise Winters; brother, Travis Gentry, and grandson, Jonathan Broughman.
