Ruby Faye Parker, 89, of Bruce died August 3, 2019 at Pontotoc Extended Care. One of nine children, she was born to Henry Price and Annie Eliza Black Bollinger on September 23, 1929 in Calhoun County.
She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She adored gardening of all varieties, especially watching her flowers grow from bud to blossom. Above all her hobbies, she cherished and adored her family, and spent hours praying for them.
She leaves daughters, Rita Ditto, Pontotoc; Valda (Jerry) Murphree, Reid; step daughters, Linda Gail Clark, Bruce; Wanda Lyn Meadows, Calhoun City; step son, Benny Joe Parker, Bruce; sister, Vivian Massey, Banner; grandchildren, Jennifer Blach, Pontotoc; Jessica Goforth, Josh Mabus, Tupelo; Seth Mabus, Cameron, NC; step grandchildren, Jason Murphree, Oxford; Lindsay Hastings, Bruce, and a host of great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; James Robert Parker; grandsons, Keith Clark and Korbin Mabus; sisters, Marie Morgan and Ruth Crutchfield; brothers, Durane, Dero, Henry XL, LaDerle, Maxey and Watson Bollinger
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Aug. 7 from 1-4 p.m. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce. A celebration of her life will be at 4 p.m. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander officiating. Burial will take place at Ivy Cemetery in Bruce. Joseph Colna, Will Edwards, Dalton Goforth, Dee Goforth, Jay Goforth and Dillon Swanner will serve as pallbearers
