Pervie LaDale “Dale” Weeks, 76, of Calhoun City, died March 4, 2014 at NMMC-Webster County in Eupora. He was born May 31, 1937 in Slate Springs, the son of Leroy Weeks and Ouida Latham Weeks. He was a retired chief investigator for the state of MS. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, and was the current mayor of Slate Springs. He was a Vietnam Veteran and a current Colonel of the MS National Guard, and a member of the American Legion and Masonic Lodge in Slate Springs, He was past president of the Calhoun Co. Shriner’s Club and past president of the Calhoun Co. Woodmen of the World. Visitation will be Friday, March 7 from noon until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. at Pryor Funeral Home in Calhoun City. Rev. Anthony Stevenson, Rev. Jimmy Vance and Rev. Wilson Webb will be officiating. burial will be in Bethany Cemetery in Slate Springs. Pallbearers will be Lonnie Gregg, James Weeks, Stanley Criss, Shelton Williams, Thomas E. Latham, and Barney Wade. Honorary pallbearers will be Calhoun County Shriner Club Members. Survivors include one daughter, Tanya Weeks?(Scott)?Land, Jacksonville, Fl.; one son, Timothy Del (Beth)?Weeks, Houston, and two grandchildren, Taylor and Spencer Land.
