Clint Ray “Tex” Howell, 85, of Coffeeville, died May 6, 2020, at NMMC in Tupelo. Born February 11, 1935, in McComb, he was a son of Charles Ray and Lottie Humphreys Howell.
He spent much of his life in the oil and gas industry as a journeyman on the pipeline before retiring. After retirement, he devoted his time to meticulously looking after his homeplace.
He is survived by a loving family including wife, Carol Oaks Howell, Coffeeville; son, Jeb Stewart (Pandy) Howell, Coffeeville; daughter Katie Howell, Coffeeville; brothers: Jerry Howell, Ovett, and Ottis Howell, New Orleans, La.; sister, Peggy Houston, Clemmons, NC, and grandchild: Webb Howell. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service honoring his life was May 11 at Ephesus Cemetery in Red Lick, MS.
