Charles Cain

Charles Edward Cain, 89, of Banner departed from this life May 19, 2020 at Baptist Calhoun Nursing Home in Calhoun City. Born August 28, 1930 in the Sarepta community, he was a son of Hollis Emmett and Ethel Leachman Cain.

He  was a jack of all trades and wasn’t afraid to work. Like the rest of his generation, he knew the value of hard work in every aspect of life. He was not only a founding member of Cain and Cain Logging, but also Bruce Transport Company. He also spent many hours tending to his crops and cattle. He knew the Lord and worshipped him at Sarepta Baptist Church.

He  leaves sons, Tommy Edward Cain and Charles (Rowena) Randy Cain; daughter, Annette Cain (Tony) Ruth;  brother, Kenneth Cain; sisters: Katie Goodwin, Martha Covington, Barbara Lantrip, Carolyn Hallman; grandchildren, Jason (Jennifer) Cain, Tracey (Ben) Liles, Cicely (Brantney) Cox, Randi (Brent) Warner, Kellie (Eddie) Logan, Chris (Christina) Woodall; 15 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Etoyle Burgess Cain; his parents; a son, James Lanny Cain; sisters: Ruthell Norwood, Celestine Dye, Johnnie Weeks; daughter-in-law, Sandra Cain, and grandson, Tony Woodall.

A funeral service remembering his life will take place May 21 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce with Bro. Craig McCormick and Bro. Darrell Logan officiating.

C.J. Bowling, Jason Cain, Jordan Cain, Brantney Cox, Caiden Cox, Christian Cox, Austyn Edwards, Landyn Edwards, Ben Liles, Benson Liles, Eddie Logan, Sutton Logan, Brent Warner, Chris Woodall and Zachary Woodall will carry him to rest in Bruce Cemetery.

Gary Paul Adams, Maurice Adams, Terry Dean Cain, Tony Mac Cain, David Dye, Gerald Dye, Jim Dye, Lavon Dye, Roger Dye, Bill Goodwin, Jr. Hillhouse, Lanny Hillhouse, John Hollis Kisner, Johnny Norwood and Larry Wayne Parker will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Memorials may be given to the Sarepta Baptist Church Building Fund, 132 CR 175, Randolph, MS 38864.
