Clemmie Crew

Clemmie Ella Crew, 105, of Pittsboro, died March 29, 2014 at Bruce Community Living Center in Bruce. She was born February 7, 1909 in Calhoun county, the daughter of James H. and Alice Armanda Davis Cook. She married Hallie Crew in August 21, 1928, and she was a housewife, and member of Westside Baptist Church. Survivors include three nieces, Sarah Lowe, Houston; Alice Scott, Pearl, and Dot Muller, Woodville, TX; two nephews, Charles Cook, Canton, and Jimmy Cook, Brandon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hallie Crew; son, Alfred Lee Crew; two brothers, Russell Cook and Lem Cook, and two sisters, Gatha Cook Lamar and Madge Cook Blissard. Visitation will be Monday, March 31, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. at Pryor Funeral Home in Calhoun City. The funeral service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jeff Gilder officiating. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Calhoun City. Pallbearers: David Crew, Scott Crew, Charles Cook, Jimmy Cook, Wes Lowe, Franklin Lowe, and Craig Lamar.
