Gwendolyn Killingsworth Shipp, 86, of Calhoun City, died April 15, 2014 at Calhoun Health Service Nursing Home in Calhoun City. She was born November 10, 1927 in Greenville, the daughter of A.K. Killingsworth and Octa Culp Killingsworth. She was a member of Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church, a charter member of Isaac Ross Colonial Dames 17th Century, and a member of Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors include her husband, Russell Shipp, Calhoun City; one daughter, Pam (Doug) Gould, Cuenca, Ecuador; two sons, Birl “Bubba” (Mary) Miller, Calhoun City, and Kenneth Allen (Brenda) Miller, Pecos, TX; one sister, Wilma Kipp, McLean, VA; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister. Visitation will be Thursday, Apr. 17, from 4-6 p.m. at?Pryor Funeral Home in Calhoun City, and one hour before the 4 p.m. funeral service on Friday at Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church in Calhoun City. Bro. Allen Dearing will officiate the service. A graveside service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Highland Cemetery in Hattiesburg.
