William David Bray

William David Bray, 75, of  Bruce, died July 24, 2013 at his home. He was born August 30, 1937 in Pontotoc, the son of John Almond Bray and Ora Ester Henry Bray. He served in the National Guard, and was retired as plant superintendent from Bruce Telephone Company after 35 years. He was an active member and deacon of Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Visitation is tonight, Thursday, from 5-8 p.m. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home, and Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Bro. Rob Pelkey, Bro. Philip Logan and Bro. Earl Farley will be officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Keith Baker, Larry Edwards, Ronald Edwards, Adam Logan, Wayne Logan and Jay Prewett. Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Griffin and Mark Logan.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Logan, Bruce; one daughter, Regina Griffin, Bruce; one son, Bro. Greg (Michele) Bray, Myrtle; three sisters, twin sister Sarah Baker, Bruce; Geneva Edwards, Holcomb, and Genette Dubard, Senatobia, and three grandchildren, Andrew Griffin, Daniel Bray and Savannah Bray. He was preceded in death by an infant son; a daughter, Pamela Kay Bray, and two brothers, Lathon and LaWayne.
