He is survived by one daughter: Deidra Thrasher and husband Steven, Ewa Beach, HI., his mMother: Goldie Bailey Hardin of Pittsboro; his fiance’: Susan George of Woodland; one sister: Karan Hardin Nestor and husband Chuck, Bruce; three brothers: Danny Hardin and wife Donna, Bruce; Roncie Hardin and Wife SaDeanna, Pittsboro, and Harvey Hardin and wife Cindy, Big Creek; three step-daughters: Sherrie Springer, Leigh Anna Springer and her son Alden, and Whitney George; three grandchildren: Hardin, Hudson, and Hensley Thrasher, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and his faithful dog, Lacey Jane. He was preceded in death by his Father: Harvey Lafayette (Fate) Hardin, Sr. and a Nephew: Little Dan Hardin.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, June 9, 2014 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce.
The funeral service will be at Poplar Springs Baptist Church at 11 AM, Tuesday, June 10, with Bro. Benny Hill officiating and Bro. Robert Earl Alexander assisting. Burial will be at Poplar Springs Cemetery in Vardaman.
Pallbearers will be Gary Edwards, Danny Hardin, David Hardin, Don Hardin, Harvey Hardin, James K. Hardin,Kenneth Hardin, Roncie Hardin, and Billy Simonin.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Chad Dauzat, Dustin Hardin, Trey Hardin, Dylan Mullen, Tripp Nestor, Toby Parker, and Jerry Wilbourn.

Jimmy Don Hardin, 61, died Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was born on October 5, 1952 in Vardaman, MS.
He was a member of the Poplar Springs Baptist Church. He was the president of Hardin Trucking since 1983 and a cattleman and a farmer. He was a active mMember of the Miller Industries Race Recovery Team Since 1999. He served six years in the Mississippi National Guard.
