Burl Hardin, 76, of Vardaman, died October 3, 2014 at his residence. He was born July 25, 1938 in Calhoun County. He was a member of College Hill Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Masons.
Survivors include his son, Ty (Kay) Hardin, Olive Branch; six sisters, Shelda (Jim) Murphree, Denver, CO; Nita West and Marjorie Knight, Calhoun City; Melba (Everett) Ramage, Madison, AL; Helon (Ben) Gragg, Atlanta, GA and Becky (Bob) Atkinson, Merritt Island, FL; brother, Derry Hardin, Hattiesburg; one grandchild, Spencer Lee Hardin; Ty’s mother, Lavern Wallace Hardin, Brookhaven. He was preceded in death by his parents. His funeral service was Sunday, Oct. 5, at 3 p.m. at Spring Hill Baptist Church in Slate Springs with Bro. Jimmy Vance and Bro.Ethan Nanney officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery in Slate Springs. Pallbearers were David Minton, Clay West, Ethan Nanney, Corey Vance, Eddie Helms and Jess Moore.
