Inez Baker

Inez Simmons Baker, 94, of Batesville, passed away Friday, October 24, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Batesville. She was born November 5, 1919 in Denison, TX to the late William Alfred and Johnnie Thelma Moore Simmons. She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church and a retired retail salesperson.
Funeral services were Sunday, October 26, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Good Hope Baptist Church with Dr. Jimmy Martin and Rev. Brad Burnett officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include a daughter, Ann (Bill) Still, Pope; one son, Jimmy (Nancy) Baker, Batesville; one sister, Nellie Anthony, Arlington, TN; two brothers, John Simmons, Eads, TN, and J.E. Simmons, Millington, TN; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, R.H. “Tiny” Baker and a sister, Sara Richardson.
Pallbearers were Cody Appleton, Jeremy Appleton, Macel Appleton, Jason Baker, Justin Baker, Jeff Gordon and Kevin Still. Honorary Pallbearers werbe Jack Baker and Rowan Baker.
