Billie Jean Logan, 78, Vardaman, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014. Born Tuesday, Dec. 10, 1935, she was the daughter of the late James Wait and the late Maudie Blount Wait. She was the wife of the late Winnon Logan. She was a retired inspector at American Trouser and was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are son, David (Carolyn) Logan, Vardaman; sisters, Jimmie Dee McCormic, Bruce, and Ernestine Jefcoat, Soso; grandson J.R. Logan, and great grandchild, Amory Logan. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marie Ferguson.
Her funeral service was Saturday at 11 a.m. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander officiating and Bro. Clovis Logan assisting. Interment was in Poplar Springs Cemetery, Vardaman. Pallbearers were Chad Clark, Arnel Fleming, Steve Jefcoat, Mike Langley, Marvin Morris, Jim Rutherford, Curt Tunnell, and Bryan Wright. Honorary pallbearers were Richard Chrestman and Jerry Cowsert.
