Motell Jenkins, 97, died Monday, June 1, 2015, at Calhoun Health Services Nursing Home in Calhoun City. Born August 24, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Howard Covington and Verlie Ann Davis Covington. She was a homemaker and member of Rocky Branch Baptist Church.
Survivors include a brother, Norman Ray Covington, Memphis, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Elton Jenkins, and brothers, John Jeff Covington, Robert Covington and James Lee Covington, and sister, Helen Howe. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 3, from 5-8 p.m. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce. Her graveside service and interment will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Concord Cemetery with Bro. Shane Crawford officiating.
