Scott Allen Longest, 55 of Bruce, died Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North MS in Oxford. He was born April 28, 1960 in Bruce, the son of David Longest and the late Vivian Jenkins Longest. He was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church and was a truck driver for FSR Transport.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Longest, Bruce; one son, Ethan Longest, Bruce; one daughter, Breanna Longest (Manuel) Mata, Bruce; one granddaughter, Paisley Mata; three brothers, Gwin (Sarah) Longest, Bruce; Chris (Paula) Longest, Bruce, and Tracy (Macy) Longest, Kent, Wa.
His funeral service is today, Monday, at 2 p.m. at New Liberty Baptist Church with the Bro. Jeff Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in the New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Vardaman. Pallbearers will be Burt Birmingham, Lucas Birmingham, Tim Bowen, Tony Bowen, Jamie Hill, Johnny Kakales, Dr. Bruce Longest and Troy Todd. Honorary pallbearers will be his truck driving family.
