Nettie Mae Brassfield Bumgart, 78, of Derma, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013 at the home of her daughter. She was born September 30, 1935 in Calhoun County, the daughter of Evans Brassfield and Vivian Sewell Brassfield. She was a homemaker and member of Derma Baptist Church. Visitation is tonight, Thursday, from 5-8 p.m. at Pryor Funeral Home in Calhoun City. Her funeral service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Rev. John Warren officiating. Burial will be in Crossroads Cemetery in Calhoun City. Pallbearers will be Alfred Brassfield, Lonnie Morphis, Kelly Davidson, Rob Hollis, Damon Bumgart and Bobby Blackmon. Survivors include three daughters, Janice Poynor, Banner; Teresa Morphia, Derma, and Norma ?Davidson, Bruce; three sons, Jasper Bumgart and James Ray Bumgart, both of Calhoun City; Rebecca Edward, Mt. Juliet, Tn.; three brothers, Carl Brassfield, Granite, Il.; Leon Brassfield, Ripley, Tn., and Robert Brassfield, Duck Hill; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
