Jerry Sebron Malone, 84, of Winona died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016, at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona. He was born September 21, 1931 in Calhoun County to Walter Scott and Margaret Sherman Malone. He was a member of North Winona Baptist Church, enjoyed woodworking, and retired with MDOT after 38 years as a bridge inspector.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Oliver Funeral Home, with burial following in Oak Springs Cemetery in Calhoun County. Rev. Kenneth Armstrong will be officiating the services. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty C. Malone; his parents, and a brother, Ottis Malone. He is survived by two daughters, Deborah Streetman, Calhoun City, and Donna McCurdy, Elliott; one son, Danny Malone, Winona; two sisters, Celeste Felton, Jackson, and Bernice Lukens, Hattiesburg; one brother, Rupert Malone, Picayune; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Chris Flowers, Alan Youngblood, Rob McCurdy, Eddie McCurdy, Gene McNeer, and Lawrence Braswell. Honorary pallbearer will be Hunter Flowers.
