Glynda Criss, 85, went to her heavenly home Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016. She was born August 6, 1930 in Calhoun County, the daughter of E.B. and Bertha Hallum Woods. She was a retired cafeteria worker for Calhoun County School System and a member of Pine Grove Baptist.
Funeral service was Saturday, Feb. 27 at 2 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Truman Scarborough and Bro. Jimmy Martin officiating. Pallbearers were Gaylon Gray, David Simpson, Phil Harrison, Frank Anderson and Billy Rousaville. Honorary pallbearers were George Harrison, James William Gray, James Caulder and Charles Parker.
Burial was at Pine Grove Cemetery in Coffeeville. Arrangements were under the direction of Pryor Funeral Home.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Raines, Spanish Fort, AL and Wilma Wrenn, Water Valley; one son, Stanley (Donna) Criss, Calhoun City; sister, Sandra Brown, Greenville; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and four sisters.
