Minnie Ann Hamilton Penick, 84, went to her heavenly home Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016 at Floy Dyer Manor in Houston. She was born August 23, 1932 in Oxford, the daughter of William Prince Hamilton Sr. and Mary Louise McCullough Hamilton. She was a member of Vardaman First Baptist Church. During her career, she provided accounting services for family-owned businesses and in later years she worked with the Calhoun County school system and North Mississippi Health Services.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 1, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Pryor Funeral Home in Calhoun City. Graveside services will be held immediately following visitation at Midway Cemetery in Vardaman with Bro. Joey Hamilton officiating. Pallbearers will be James Marshall Casey, Calvin Barnett, Bobby Inmon, Jim Lloyd, Gary Penick and Jerry Fox.
She is survived by her two sons, Timothy Penick, Memphis, and Steven Penick, Vardaman; special cousins, Judith Clegg, Tupelo, Thomas Wade Clegg, Palmyra, VA, Dr. Jimmy (Kathy) Hamilton, Tupelo; Gary (Judy) Hamilton, West Point, and Nell Harrelson, Bruce. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Prince Hamilton, Jr., and a son, Tommy Penick.
