Ann Wright Dye, 96, received her heavenly wings July 6, 2018 at the home of her niece in Fulton. She was born October 3, 1921 to Thomas Jefferson and Georgia Ann Knight Wright, the youngest of 12 children. She lived in Tremont until her marriage to Shelby Durell Dye in 1969, and then made her home in Vardaman.
She was a faithful attendant to Vardaman United Methodist Church until her health declined.
A strong lady of humor, such a pleasure to be acquainted with, but would always speak her mind, and was always the life of the party. She loved to fish, play the piano, go to gospel singings and mowed her lawn until 4 years ago.
Funeral services were Sunday with Bro. Terry Paul Graham, her nephew, officiating. Burial followed in Vardaman Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors include nieces, Jeffie Robinson, Sue Graham, Ann Nichols, Fulton; Sarah Hood, Hamilton, Al; Joy Maxey, Smithville; Patsy Bennett, Georgia Owen and Nina Cantrell, Tupelo.
Pallbearers were Bob Dye, Shane Langford, Bob Hannaford, Roger Nichols, Dale Hood, Charles Owen and Larry Cantrell.
Memorial donations may to Vardaman United Methodist Church.
Parker Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted to the care and funeral arrangements of the Dye Family.
