Larry O’Neal ‘Bud’ McGregor, 71, passed this life Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Oxford. He was born in Vardaman on February 3, 1947 to C.O. and Elizabeth Bray McGreger. He was a graduate of Vardaman High School Class of 1964, East Mississippi Community College and attended Mississippi State University. He was a retired timber cruiser, and worker for Hankins Lumber Company over 40 years. He was an avid fox hunter, Fox Hunting Judge and received the Master of Hounds Award along with many other awards. He loved nature and the outdoors being fox hunting, fishing or gardening. He treasured his family in every aspect of life.
Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Michele Wimberly McGregor, Pittsboro; daughters, Kim (Haden) Edwards, New Albany; Christy (George) Tedder, Waynesboro, GA; Linda Plumb, Calhoun City; sisters, Jane (Lader) Gregory, Pittsboro; Shelia (Scott) Freely, Vardaman; grandchildren Caitlin and Morgan Tedder, Landry Plumb, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral services honoring his life will be Wednesday, July 11 at 11 a.m. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce with Bro. Ronnie Scott and Bro. Robert Earl Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 10 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Dean Brummett, Chad Clark, Khris Faulkner, Bubba Freely, Gary Schmitz and D.J. Scott.
Honorary pallbearers will Tom Bailey, Larry Ethridge, Henry Dean Gray, Clay Gregory, Stacey Gregory, Paul Isabel, Charles Parker, Tommy Reid, Larry Winter and local, state and national Fox Hunter Members.
