Reverend Roy C. Wilson, 78 passed away at his home August 20, 2018. He was a retired Baptist minister. Bro. Wilson served at DeLay Baptist Church in Lafayette County, New Hope Baptist Church in Tate County and served for over 40 years as minister at Bethel Baptist Church in Tate County. He leaves his wife of 60 years, Nell Wilson of Nesbit, children, Carla Shaw (Charlie) of Nesbit, Paul Dwight Wilson (Cindy) of Southaven and Maria Naramore (Rodney) of Southaven, sister, Opal Newman of Paris, MS, brother, Gene Wilson of Tula, MS, grandchildren, Hillary McKinney, Kimberly Shaw, Melody Schuetz, Eric Wilson, Michael Wilson, Kara Wilson, Nathan Naramore, Natalie Lisowski, Graham Naramore, Preston Naramore and Barrett Naramore and great grandchildren, Zeke McKinney, Keeley McKinney and Londyn Wilson. Brother Wilson was preceded in death by his brother, James Wilson. His funeral service was Thursday at Hernando Funeral Home. A graveside service followed at Oxford Memorial Cemetery.
