Shelia Diane Doler, 70, passed this earthly life Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis. She was born January 9, 1948 in Vardaman. She was a graduate of Houston High School, class of 1966 and a graduate of Wood Junior College. She was retired from the Mississippi Department of Human Services. She was also retired from Farm Bureau where she was receptionist and clerk. Shelia served the Lord faithfully, as a devoted member of Calhoun City First Baptist Church. She had a heart filled with love for the elderly, and those who were incarcerated. She served as a witness for Christ in the Jail Ministry. Her heart was bigger than life to all those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father. Leslie Lavelle Norris; sisters, Lynn and Karen Norris; brothers, Terry and Phil Norris, and her husband, Jimmy Dale Doler, the love of her life.
Those left to honor her memory are a son, Bryan Jasper “B.J." Doler, Ripley; her mother, Sara Morgan Norris, Houston, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, August 24 from 5-8 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce. Her funeral service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Calhoun City First Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Smith and Bro. Jimmy Vance officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time on Saturday at the church. Interment will be in Vance Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Catlin Doler, Jody Doler, Kevin Doler, Wayne Doler, Danny Hodge, Anthony Moss, Ben Norris, and Michael Watkins.
