Robert Everette “Bobby” Holder, also known as “Frog,” 64, of Houston, passed away in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018. He was born March 1, 1954 in Vardaman to James Everette and Mavis Winter Holder. He was a farmer, and was retired from Chickasaw Farm Services in Houston. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Calhoun County. He was a loving husband, father, soon-to-be-grandfather, and friend.
His life was celebrated at Thorn Church of God December 4 with Bro. Tommy Havard and Bro. Johnny Cherry officiating.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Betty; daughter Alisha (Justin) Richardson, and one grandchild to arrive in April; his mother, Mavis Holder; sister, Judith Ann (Jerry) Martin; brothers-in-law: Danny Higginbotham, and Jimmy (Linda) Higginbotham, and life-long friend, Randall Langford; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family, and friends that were like family. He was preceded in death by his father, James Everette Holder, his parents-in-law Henry and Ruth Higginbotham.
