Berttie Pauline Walker, 76, Calhoun City, died September 8, 2019, at BMH Care Nursing Home in Calhoun City. Born April 11, 1943 in Calhoun City, she was the daughter of Doyle and Pauline Swindol Melton.
She was a homemaker by choice and spent her days looking after her family. She accepted the gift of eternal salvation from her Lord and Savior and worshiped him faithfully at Faith Baptist Church.
Surviving are husband Earl Walker; sons, Terry Coleman, Grand Rapids, MI; Jerry Coleman, Vardaman; daughter, Sherry Coleman, Vardaman; brothers, Joe, Jerry, Mark and Ricky Melton, all of Bruce; sisters, Jean Chandler, Houlka; Linda Taylor, Pittsboro; 10 grandchildren, four great grandchildren.
Her service was Tuesday at Haven Hill-Melton Cemetery with Bro. James Taylor officiating. Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce was in charge of arrangements.
