Hansel (Bud) Green, 81, of Vardaman, died September 8, 2019 at NMMC in Tupelo. Born September 1, 1938 in Humphreys County, he was the son of Leo and Louella Sanders Green
He was a man who got the most of life, evidenced by his many thrill seeking hobbies. He loved motors in more ways than one. Not only did he enjoying working on them as mechanic, but also in terms of transportation, from flying his airplane to cruising down the highway on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Even though he was a small town farmer, he had a tried and true sense of adventure that he often tapped into. He didn’t pass away, he secured his gift of eternal life with the Lord some years ago, and was a member of New Providence Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife Joy Earnest Green; sisters, Nina Redditt (Bardin), Merita Shook (Dossie), Susie Pitalo (Butch) and Debbie Render (Phil). He was predeceased by brother, David Green; sisters, Cathryn Jones, June Mathis and Evelyn Prine.
His funeral service is Wednesday at 2 p.m. at New Providence Baptist Church with Bro. Wayne Gullett and Bro. John Stewart officiating. Interment will be in New Providence Cemetery in Derma.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from noon until 2 p.m. at New Providence Baptist Church in Derma.
