Tangela Winter Washington, 45, of Bruce passed from this life October 21, 2020 at her home. Born July 6, 1975 in Pontotoc, she was a daughter of Tony Lee and Joy Ann Graham Winter.
Affectionately known as Tangie, she was a 1993 graduate of Bruce High School. She dedicated many years of her life to looking after residents at Baptist Calhoun Nursing Home as a Certified Nursing Assistant. When she wasn’t seeing about the needs of others, she could be found getting lost in the creative world of coloring. In true Southern fashion, she knew her way around the kitchen and found satisfaction when a meal came together. As a member of Bruce Church of God of Prophecy, she valued the redeeming power of love Christ granted to her many years ago. Though she has departed for a place beyond our comprehension she will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
She is survived by her dedicated husband, Ronald Lynn Washington, Bruce; sons, Ashton Reese and Christopher Alexander Washington, Bruce; daughter, Joy Brenae Washington, Bruce; sisters, Angie Winter Kelly, Banner, and Crystal Winter Garcia, Bruce. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Tony Mack Winter
Her funeral service was Thursday in the Chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Logan officiating. Robert Lee Brasher, Ashton Reese Washington, Christopher Alexander Washington, Gary Washington, Richard Wayne Winter and Mike Winter carried her to rest in Antioch Cemetery.
