Jonathon Edward West, 43, of Calhoun City, died April 10, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-NM in Oxford. He was born April 9, 1971 in Oxford, the son of Larry West and Prentice Ann Easley West. He was a truck driver for Hardin Brothers and a member of the Vardaman First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Sally Lofton West, Calhoun City; three daughters, Brittany Tallent, Starkville; Courtney (Jake) Campbell, Bruce, and Caitlin Hamilton, Oxford; two sons, Davan Tallent, Calhoun City, and PFC Bryan Hamilton, Ft. Stewart, GA; one sister: Myra (Earl) Bumgart, Pittsboro; two brothers, David (Melinda) Tallent, Senatobia, and Kenneth (Jeanine) Tallent, Vardaman; two grandchildren, Bentlee Campbell and Braylen Parker. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Wayne Tallent. Visitation is Friday, April 11, 5-8 p.m. at Pryor Funeral Home in Calhoun City. Funeral service will be Saturday, April 12, at 2 p.m. at Pryor Funeral Home Chapel in Calhoun City with Bro. Danny Spratlin and Bro. Buford Usry officiating. Burial will be in Pittsboro Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Davan Tallent, PFC Bryan Hamilton, Damon Bumgart, Josh Tallent, Jeremy Tallent, Eric Tallent, Blake Tallent and Austin Tallent.
