Mary “Frances” Davis Miller, 88, of Georgetown, Texas, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014. Frances was born November 29, 1925, in Lyon, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her husband Lenor Hays Miller and parents Joyce Gordon Davis and James Mardie Davis. She and Hays grew up in the Ellard Community. They lived in Memphis, until retirement to Banner, MS. Frances was life-long member of the Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW.Graveside services were November 24 in Bruce, prior to a Memorial Service and Celebration of her life at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Her greatest joys were being a mother, grandmother and a great-grandmother “Nana.” Frances always felt blessed by her family and the many friends made in Bruce, Perryton and Georgetown, Tx.
Survivors include a daughter, Marita Carroll and husband Dennis of Georgetown; a sister Robbie Mullins of Bruce, and brother James “Buddy” Davis and wife Thelma of Oakland, MS; grandchildren Konrad Carroll and wife Karen of Ransom Canyon, TX, and Kameron Carroll of Pflugerville, TX, and a step-grandson Kelly and wife Brandi of Saledo, TX; four great-grandsons, Cooper, Jackson, Ranger, Lance Davis; and two great-granddaughters Savannah and Kara.
