Delle Burke

Lula Odelle  “Delle” Byars Burke, 81, of Grenada, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2014 at her home. She was born December 30, 1932 in Calhoun County,  to Charlie R. Byars, Sr.  and Lula Bells Hendrix Byars. She was a homemaker and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 14, 2014 from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church in Big Creek with Bro. Joe Russell and  Bro. Mark Longino officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery in Big Creek with Pryor Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be John Hood, Bobby Hood, Mike Hendrix, Scotty Hendrix, Guy Hendrix and Paul Hendrix.

 

She is survived by her son, Frank Travis Burke, Jr., Grenada; three sisters, Nancy Anderson, Charleston, W VA; Lola Dianne Depelsmaker, Sulphur, TX; Betty Cain, St. Ingus, MD, and  one brother, George “Coot” Byars, Guntown. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Travis Burke, Sr., parents, and two brothers.
