May Ola Fox Willis of Detroit, Mi., died March 15 at Sinai Grace Hospital. She was born December 15, 1926 in Calhoun City, to Squaire McCon Fox and Earlie Fox. She did domestic work and loved taking care of children and helping people. She joined the New Deliverance Church family in 2007. One of 10 children, she married Roosevelt Willis January 29, 1971.
Her funeral service was Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at New Deliverance Pentecostal Church of Truth Incorporated with Bishop Michael R. Taylor officiating. Burial was in Gethsemane Cemetery with Gates of Heaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Survivors include one daughter, Annie C. (Willie) Gladney, Detroit; two sisters, Cleo Moore and Theo Stovall, Calhoun City, and a host of nieces, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death brothers, R.D. Fox, Calhoun City, and E.L. Fox, Toledo, Oh. and sisters, Cora Russell and Viola Roberts, both of Calhoun City.
