Jimmie Boyce James, 84, of Southaven, died Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Arbors of Olive Grove Terrace. Born October 13, 1930, he was the son of the late Ike James and the late Magolyne McKnight James. He was the husband of Nell Lockhart James. He was a graduate of Houlka High School and was retired from Tobacco Product Sales, Hertz car rental, and farming. He served in the Army. He was a member of Southaven First United Methodist Church. He was also a graduate of Houlka High School class of 1949.
Surviving are daughters, Susan (Bruce) Hicks, Brentwood, TN; Sheila James, Southaven, and Sherry James, Southaven; sister, Ruth Moore, Memphis; grandchildren, Conner Hicks and Taylor Hicks. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Ollie Lockhart, and mother-in-law, Dorothy Bramlett Lockhart.
His funeral service was Saturday at noon at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was in Bruce Cemetery.
