Ben Anderson Arrington, 100, went to his heavenly home Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016 at his daughter’s home in Grenada. He was born December 30, 1915 in Hardin County, TN, the son of George Nathan and Dora Thompson Arrington. He was a retired security guard at Custom Dimensions and member of New Providence Baptist Church.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 2 p.m. at Pryor Funeral Home Chapel in Calhoun City with Bro. Max Blackwelder officiating.
Pallbearers were Johnny McGreger, D.J. Arrington, Jamie K. Arrington, Cody Bostic, Misty Arrington and Dale Harris. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Joe Arrington, Jerry Arrington and Rev. John Tedder.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda (James) Tedder, Grenada; three sons, Ben J. Arrington and Billy Wayne Arrington, both of Calhoun City, and Danny J. Arrington, Grenada; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Nellie Hyde Arrington; daughter, Betty (Johnny) McGreger; brothers, Jim Arrington and Charlie Arrington and sisters, Vannie M. Blackwelder and Vora Hyde.
