Theo Fox, 86, departed this life October 26, 2016. She was born July 10, 1930 to Earlie and Squaire Fox. She was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the kitchen staff and usher board. She loved gardening, fishing, canning and serving others in the community. She could be found visiting the sick and shut-in, delivering home-cooked meals and volunteering at local churches. To know her was to love her. she was a strong woman who shared many of her gifts with her family and friends, and she was known by many names: Mama, Aunt Theo, Ms. Fox, Mema. She will truly be missed.
Her survivors include her children, Ozell (Richard) Mays, Tulsa, Ok.; Larry (Alice) Stovall, Calhoun City; Robert Allen Stovall, Beaumont, Tx.; Henry Fox, Calhoun City; Linda Jean Fox, Tulsa, Ok.; twin sister, Cleo Moore, Calhoun City; her legacy of 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She took many family members under her wing and loved them as her own children. She was preceded in death by five siblings, Viola, Mayola, Cora, R.D. and E.L.
Her funeral service will be Saturday, Nov. 5 at 1 p.m. at Friendship M.B. Church in Calhoun City with Dr. Tracy Foxx officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Sgt. Calvin Mims, Jaquon Judon, James Rice, Tramiel Armstrong, Renaldo Moore, Vincent Corbitt, Ken Roberson and James Ray Fox.
