John Walter Reed, 77, of Bruce died Friday, December 5, 2014 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born June 21, 1937 in Oglesby, Tx. He was the son of John Baxter Reed and Clara Walter Reed. He was a retired construction road worker and a member of Church of Christ in Gatesville, Tx.
His graveside service was Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014 at 10 a.m. in Post Oak Cemetery in Oglesby, Tx.
He is survived his wife, Sarah Vance Reed, Bruce; three children, two step-children; one brother, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
