Cherrie Cousins

Cherrie Lee Ford Cousins of West Point, died July 10, 2015. She was born April 28, 1919in Clay County, the daughter of the late Jake Burns and Mary Addie Burns. She was a member of Third Mt. Olive M.B. Church for many years. Her funeral service was July 18 at 4:30 p.m. at Third Mt. Olive M.B. Church with Rev. Al Lathan Sr. officiating. Interment was in West Point Memorial Gardens.

Her survivors include two daughters, Rena Spraggins, West Point, and Alberta (Mike) Herrod, Bruce; one son, Tony (Sharon) Ford, West Point; two sisters, Ruthie Mae Cousins, Chicago, IL; Dora Ree Clark, Mantee; one brother, John T. (Margaret) Burns, Chicago; one stepdaughter, Roxie Glaspie, Bruce; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 27 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Spurgeon Cousins; sons, Frank and James Ford; her sisters, Irena Burns, Shirley Coleman, Sarah Lou Davidson, and one brother, James Burns.
